is there a way to touch/feel/see if disk brakes are worn out?thanks all!
I just got done changing out my disc and pads. The disc was worn down to the minimum thickness according to the shop manual. The pads were thin, plus I wanted new pads with a new disc. Flushed and refilled/bled the brake system while I was at it.
If there are grooves in them, too thin, warped an/or wobbly and shaking when you brake, squealing excessively, or discolored, then they need replacing.
Look at the rotors, if they are smooth and shiny ,OK. Look at the pads from the front if there is still a reasonable amount of pad there, usually Gray, OK.
