Question:

how could I measure the level of Natural latex in my silo?

I have an opaque silo with Natural Latex inside, and need to know at anytime how much of the material is left inside the silo.

Answer:

Will the liquid latex reflect the laser from a laser range finder? Put the range finder in the top of the silo. When you want to know the amount you have left you find the height that is not there. Find the volume that is not there. Subtract that from the total that the silo can hold. The laser is not on all of the time. Only when you are checking the amount. You can probably get one where you can hook it up to a computer also...
Determine the weight of natural latex per gallon. Put an industrial digital scale at the bottom of the silo. Bingo.
