ok i just finished watching Revolutionary Road and i was so confused. I thought April was giving herself an abortion but i had to go online to be sure. What i want to no is how she preformed it to make her end up bleeding to death
More than likely it was a coat hanger abortion
The tubing she used sucks the fetus out of the uterus, this causes negative pressure inside that caused her blood vessels to rupture, chiefly her cervical artery. Thus why at home abortions like that are so very dangerous.
I've never seen the film, but I aw Vera Drake which was a film (also crap lol) about home abortions, she used to mix like soap and water together and insert it using a pipe, it was totally gross and the woman nearly died. I know its only a film, but I believe this is how they used to perfom abortions... gross.
I haven't read or watched it, but a hanger or wire would be my guess.
