Question:

How did Egyptians build such massive Pyramids when the knowledge of wheel was unkown?

did Egyptians possessed some kind ofhoisting machines!

Answer:

Of okorder
They used canals (passageways of stone) to link the Nile river to a moat around the pyramid. Then they built canals going up the 4 sides of the pyramid They attached floating materials like papyrus etc, to the stone blocks so they floated. And moved them from the river, to the canals, up thru he 4 canals going up the pyramid. They used atmospheric pressure and many opening/shut doors to keep the water inside these canals as the blocks of stone floated up to the top. Then they built the next layer of pyramid, built the next layer for the canals, and repeat until done
The Egyptians had the wheel long before thay started to build pyramids. They also had: A large available workforce A long timeframe Good organization The necessary mathematical knowledge So,no problems in building big pyramids for them.
they didn't really use wheels for transporting stones to building sites..this is how it was done: the ship would bring the stone to a dock on the Nile, then the builders would putt stone blocks on a big chumps of trees and pull them to building sites, that way the blocks would move easy on rollinh chumps when block reached the pyramid it was bulled up on pyramid using some kind of stairs and then it was placed on it's place..that's why they builded them for so long time
Yes the Egyptians had knowledge of the wheel, a large workforce, as many as 10,000 or more laborers taking over 30 years to build a single pyramid (although Herodotus wrote of 100,000 men, though this is dubious). Like ammianus said, a more than necessary mathematical knowledge - we don't give nearly enough credit to the intelligence of those in the Ancient Levant / Asia Minor and Greater Middle East, Egyptian scrolls such as the Moscow Mathematical Papyrus are incredibly complex especially regarding the geometry of shapes such as cylinders and pyramids, and like the Babylonians it is very much certain they knew of Pythagoras theorem as long as 2,000+ years before Pythagoras was even born. I also suggest you search Wally Wallington, using just a wooden leaver and a pebble he is capable of moving large stones weighing 10+ tons single-handedly, so moving stones weighing 2-4 tons each would have been comparatively easy and although exact methods are unknown, with such simple yet but brilliant techniques it isn't too far a stretch that several dozen men where capable of moving some of the heavier stones weighing in at 200 tons. If you look at Egyptian architecture, you also see a progression of improvement, from the early hill-like mounds, to the poorly built mastabas, advancing eventually through to the [originally] smooth sized pyramids. There's a clear evolution of building technique and advancement as they refined their methods.
