Question:

how do i add or fix quartz.dll on my computer?

it says this every time I try to run a dvd on my computer

Answer:

Good question. In order for your video card to be considered Quartz compatible, it must work with OS X and the graphic standards that Apple coded into it. The majority of ATi Radeon video cards should be rated for this graphic standard, but without the specific model number for the card (which you can find by opening System Profiler and looking for the Graphics/Display tab on the left hand of the window), it is hard to be specific. Look for the words Quartz Extreme in the right hand panel towards the bottom when you select the Graphic/Display tab. It will either say Supported or Not Supported. Let us know.
Quartz Capable means if the graphics card supports the window server in Mac OS. The window server is responsible for presenting and maintaining rasterized and rendered graphics away from the rest of the Core Graphics framework
