I have (what appears to be) rg59 cable running through the walls of my home, and I am attempting to attach a screw-on F-type connector to one endI have cut the cable flush and trimmed the black rubber cover to expose the aluminum braidingNow here comes my problem: When I attempt to pull back the aluminum braiding, it snaps, leaving nothing but the exposed dialectic plasticNeedless to say, the connector will not form a tight fit without the braidingDoes anyone have any ideas on how I can keep the aluminum braiding from crumbling, or, failing that, get the connector to stay put? Replacing the wire isn't really an option as it runs through the length of my house.
Ok, check this out, start out with a fresh cut on your cable,about a quarter of an inch from the end,take a sharp blade, preferably a razor blade, cut all the way down to the core electrode, without scoring it, all the way around the cableRemove the insulation,then a quarter of an inch back from the first cut,cut just the outer layer very carefully to the shield, and remove the outer sheath, check to make sure none of the aluminum shield touches the core electrode, and just screw the connector on until the core just sticks out past the screw on part about an eight of an inch and dont even mess with pullin' it back, just jam that puppy on there and screw itgood luck

The food and water dishes may still be too close for her liking in proximity to her litter boxCats do not like their food water to be too close to where they go to the bathroomI would try relocating the food and water dishes when you're home see if she still exhibits this behaviorIf she doesn't then you know it's the location you'll have to reconsider shutting her in the room with the litter pan and the food water dishes.
