Question:

How do I change the IP address of my router without it changing back.?

I bought 3 IP cameras (Dahua) and I can't get the config tool to locate the cameras because they are on a different segment than my routerMy linksys Smart Wi-fi router is 10.xxx.xxx.xxx and the cameras are at 192.168.1.108The way I understand it is if I get my router on 192.168.x.x then they will be on the same segment and I'll be able to see them??? Every time I change my internet setting DHCP to 192.168.1.1 and hit apply, the router gets lost and I have to go to ipconfig to find itIt always sets my default gateway back to 10.xxx.xxx.xxx has anyone had any experience with this type of problem?

Answer:

On the second router, disable the server parts to put it in bridge modeThen the first router will hand out IPs so all machines are in the same subnet.
