Question:

How do I clean my laminate floor?

My floor looked great when I had it installed, but cleaning it is a pain. After cleaning the floor it has plenty of streaks and looks terrible. How can I prevent the streaks?

Answer:

White vinegar and water, dry after is recommended....all the others are not!
I always use murphys oil soap, it smells nice and no streaks
When I bought mine the salesman suggested a cap full of dish soap in a bucket of warm water, I like this and I use Dawn dish soap
Use Windex window cleaner. Spray a mist on the floor as U mop with a dry mop. I place a clean towel under the mop--Works great.
Hi, I just use warm water and vinegar 1 cup to a gallon. It works well and I prefer something that is natural. I just use a mop that is well wrung out so it is just damp. You do not want to wet floors. I sometimes buff up with a towel attached to my swifter. Soap-based products and citrus based products leave a residue on laminate making them look dull. It may take a few washings to get rid of the film. It is good to use warm water as it evaporates more quickly.
