Someone told me not to use a steel wool pad. Please help

Answer:

You can also use a silicone oven linerThey are washable so you can clean off the spill and put it back in the oven for next timeThey last quite a while before you have to replace them
As long as the air can circulate, it'll be as if there's nothing thereYou just don't want a cookie sheet so big that it blocks air flow, use the smallest one that you have that will catch any spills from all sidesEnchilada pie, yum, I'm hungry!
Yes its ok to put aluminum foil over a cookie sheet and then put it in the oven, I do it all the timeBake as normal.
I would venture a guess that if you put a cookie sheet on a bottom rack the cooking process would take longerI do not recommend this on a regular basis, but I understand what you are saying when you want to catch the overspill, and I know what energy is needed to clean an oven when food spills or starts to smoke when bakingThings overflow sometimes during cooking onto the bottom of the ovenA temporary solution that I would suggest is to use a foil pan beneath the coil burner in other words the lowest point in your oven, at the bottom, with a small amount of water poured into it, while the enchilada pie is cookingSome coils can lift up or pull out, if you cannot adjust the coil then just try to place a piece of foil at the bottom of the oven to catch the spills.
Really burnt on gunk in the bottom like milk or blackened food can easily be cleaned out of stainless steel pots and pans by sprinkling baking soda in the bottom, covering with vinegar, let simmer with a little water for 5 minlet cool, scrub out with a vinyl scrubby, takes no effort at allWorks fabulouslyYou can also use aluminum foilSimply scrub the bottom of the pan after using the above vinegar/BS methodIt works with no odors or hours of waitingAnd you won't be afraid to cook food in them because of the POISON (oven cleaner) you put on them.
