Yes you can. The difference between regular limes and Key Limes is the size. Key Limes are small. Don't believe the hype that they taste different, they don't.
It will be fine, the key limes make it more tangy I think though. So if you want a tangier taste I'd reccomend key limes.

You can definitely substitute regular limes for key limes. Actually, in a lot of the recipes that call for key limes, I prefer the regular ones, because they are readily available year round, and you get so much more juice from them than key limes. They aren't quite as sweet, but in baked recipes, the difference is hardly noticeable.
