I have two Windows 2008 Servers that are virtual machines; I have made them using Oracle Vmware because it's easiest for me to useI turned on one machine and it showed that it connected with the host adapter and I was able to connect to the internetThe other Server, I turned on, and it didn't add any adapter nor use any adapterI need to connect the two machines without connecting it to the host adapter because it's strictly for lab work.
First shutdown the VM and then select vm click on settings and goto networks and select just host only adapter and don't enable NAT by this way only ur host machine and VM can communicate and won't have internet or u can use bridged adapter for second vm machine, by this way vm will be connected only to host Hope it helps
