Question:

How do I felt with acrylic yarn? Is it at all possible?

I do not use wool for ethical reasonsIs it at all possible to felt with acrylic? How would I do it? The kind of yarn I;m using is red heart super saver.

Answer:

I know that you can buy acrylic craft felt, however, I'm pretty sure that you can't repeat this process at home Traditional felting relies on the fact the wool shrinks when washedThe wool fibers contract and the hook into each other, forming a more solid mat of fibersAcrylic doesn't shrink when it washed 100% cotton shrinks when it's washed but it won't have the same look as felted wool because of the difference in the fibersYou might try blending the 100 % cotton with, oh, an acrylic eyelash yarn and seeing what kind of result you get Good luck.
First of all,it depends on what kind of straightener you haveIf it's the Wet 2 Straight kind, like I have, your hair can be damp, dry,or completely wet(like when you first get out of the shower.).So really,I wouldn't say your hair would have to be completely dry,it just depends on the straightenerSecondly,I have special straightening products.Like,TRESemme Thermal Creation straightening gel,abd BioSilk silk therapy(which helps my hair straighten,as well as smelling great and being veryyy soft.) I recommend that you buy some good productsOkay, now to start actually straightening your hair: 1)Make sure straightener is completely heated 2)Brush hair thrurougly(spelling?),with no tangels 3)Get a comb;thick or skinny 4)(optional)Seperate hair if you want, just to make it more straight underneath, not just on top5)Straighten small sections at a time, and don't hold straightener in one place for too long.I did it once and my hair color changed(lol)- After that,I always spray my hair with hairspray.Really doesn't matter what kindThen your hair should be straight;depending on your hair type, flat iron, and how much effort you put into it:] Hope this helps.
ok first brush hair to get rid of tanglesthen clip ur hair up on top of ur hair were u will only have a little bit of hair hanging in a layerrun the straightner slowly till ur hair till it looks the way u want itthen when u finish that layer add another one and do it againfor me to get the best straigtned look get this stuff by Tresume for flat irons it works really well
i actually dont think of which you will without a straightnerin case you do attempt a distinctive tactic it maximum probable supply you effects as solid as a straightner couldyou could circulate get a salon to professionally straighten your hair completely kinda like a perm however the different i assumeyet whilst your apprehensive approximately wrecking your hair this might additionally be volatile besidesattempt a straightening shampoo and brush it ocnstantly once you're waiting for it to dry, it would desire to come out straighter yet back no longer as immediately as a straightner could make it!
I wash my hair either the day or night before I straighten, so that it holds betterI brush my hair out and put thermal protection spray from Tressemme in I heat up my straightener and make sure that it is fully heated I straighten the front, then 3 inch sections of hair on the sides and in the backI have to straighten my hair a few times before it is straight Once straight, I brush it out and straighten a few more pieces againWhen I'm done, I apply a dollop of shine serum and a quick spritz of Hairspray (avoid adding too much because if hair gets damp, it can lose hold) If I'm going somewhere, I put my hair in a pontail and my style holds
