from the things you list it sounds like you might not know alot about the craft, so I would say take a class, most are available through community education, or even at craft stores such as Michaels, Joanns, Archivers, do research online, or go to some craft shows to see whats out thereYou can make a simple card with cardstock and some markers, or go as elaborate as you want with rubber stamps, chalks, different textured papers, stickers, etc.once you get the hang of it, the sky's the limit
