Question:

How do I get my hard wired smoke detector to stop chirping?

It chirps about every 12 hours and will not stop, until the button is pushed. I removed the battery completely and I have also installed a brand new 9v battery. I have come home to my dog shaking in the corner because the stupid detector was chirping for hours! There are multiple detectors in the house but it appears that only the one in the basement is an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

No, your company can't fire you for joining a class action law suit. Employees have the right to be protected against retaliation from their employers if the employee would report or file a case against the employer.
Sort of depends on the place you live. In Virginia and DC there no employment contract so you can be let go for any reason. If you are not given a reason you can file for unemployment and then they will probably give you a reason cause most companies do not want to pay unemployment. But when you have people calling for employment verification they are not allowed to tell them anything other than when you worked there and if you are eligible for rehire. If they say anything else negative it is slander.
The photo paper has a gloss on it so you need to clean the paper pick up rollers, you will need, a small bottle of rubber renew you can get that at most electronic supply stores, Q tips, a paper towel folded in half and a firm but steady hand, once you get this you remove the paper out of the printer if you look down the slot where you took the paper from you will see one or two usually black or gray rubber rollers, now dip a Q tip into the rubber renew, dab it on the paper towel because if you drip a drop or touch the plastic on the printer the rubber renew will eat the plastic so you need to be care full, now turn the Q tip sideways and it rub firmly against the roller, keep the Q tip clean so you will need a few, every time you change Q tips you dip into the renew and dab on the paper towel, do both rollers and make sure you do the whole roller turn it in the direction of the paper path, you know the roller is clean when it turns a shade or 2 lighter in color, now once that is done let it sit for 5 minutes and try it again, hope that helped good luck.
