You need to run all the essential tools to remove and protect your computer to get this resolved.
tools > scroll down to spy crusher.. or whatever company makes it > run uninstaller ccleaner is a great program and its free =)
As you have found out, not everything on the internet is as it is advertised. That program is malware disguising itself as something usefull. Yes those tools work, but you've probably been duped into other things too. I'd back up my data and do an OS reinstall. Good luck!
