Question:

Will hard wired smoke detector work if security system is disabled?

The smoke detectors do not have a test button and I disabled the security system (unplugged unit and battery backup) cause I don't use it and the battery backup was failing, causing the security panels to chirp. Now it dawned on me that the smoke detectors might have been disabled.

Answer:

Whole foods has more items than trader Joes, including a better vegetarian/vegan section. Trader Joes is about 2/3 smaller than whole foods and contains less items.
I use safety pins to pins my socks together in the washer. No problems. Once in a while one does come open so watch getting stuck
Power washers can also be rented if you need one. They come with separate motors to generate more pressure than a standard garden hose. Fire hoses are just that, a hose that can attach to a fire hydrant and spray water.
