i'm moving very shortly to an attic in a house in Oakland, CA, and when i say quot;atticquot; i mean it, all wooden, nails sticking out in odd places and most importantly, no insulation, so the winter will be really cold and the summer will be really hot.i can deal with the temperature myself but im worried about my records, anyone know a good way to keep them safe in a hot attic?it gets hot in Oakland but it's nowhere near as bad as the south or the east coast, and i'm sure people all over those states are storing vinyl records in hot attics.

My favourites are - Slices of strawberries - i put 2 tbs peanut butter and just dip it - a bowl of mixed nuts, almonds, raisins and walnuts - popcorn - Oatmeal with berries

First of all, in direct answer to your question, there is no way you can keep those records safe in an atticYes, people put them there all the time, but OVER time, they all get ruinedNo matter what you do as far as stacking, or otherwise trying to keep them perfectly flat, unless you control the temperature and humidity, you (or rather the records) don't stand a chanceYou MUST find a better place to store them if you want them to surviveVinyl and heat do not play well togetherAl
