how am i suppose to know if the soft pallet is raised enough or properly?
Depends on what looks your going for.
Neither. They test on animals.
Depends on the looks you are going for and your style. If you like simple, clean, matte looks go for the basics pallet but if you want to try more fun, cool toned, looks with some sparkle go for the naked 2. It all depends on your style and what you feel more comfortable with. I have all three pallets and I love them all, between these two like I said it depends I mean you can still do a smokey matte eye with the basics but with the 2 you can do grey smokey, plum smokey, classic cat eye, dark, golds more of a variety. The basics is much easier to carry around though! :) hope this helps.
