This recipe came from an old Fannie Farmer cookbook 1 cup sugar 1 Tvinegar 1/4 cup molasses 2 Tboiling water Boil ingredients together until, when tried in cold water, mixture will become brittleTurn into a well buttered pan; when slightly cool, mark with a sharp-pointed knife in squaresThis candy is much improved by cooking a small piece of vanilla bean with the other ingredients (it doesn't say anything other than that, but it would probably help if you used a candy thermometer and watched the color of the candy to not get too dark)
