This is my fav brownie recipeEverybody says that they are the best1 2/3 cups sugar, 3/4 cup melted butter or margarine, 2 tblsp water, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 1/3 cups flour, 3/4 cup baking cocoa, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Stir together sugar,butter, and water in a large bowlStir in eggs vanillaCombine flour,cocoa, powder, salt in a medium bowl ;stir into mixtureStir in nuts.Spread into a greased 9x13 baking panBake in a preheated 350 oven for 18-25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the middle comes out slightly stickyCut into barsMakes 2 dozen
I always make these CAKEY BROWNIES 3 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate 1/4 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 1/4 cup milk 1 tablespoon molasses or corn syrup 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon rum 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Pre-heat oven to 350°FGrease bottom only of an 8 inch square baking panMelt chocolate in small saucepan or microwave, stirring occasionally until smoothIn a separate bowl, beat butter using a wire whisk until it becomes light, gradually adding sugar until well combinedStir in eggs, one at a time, beating well after eachAdd milk and molasses or corn syrupAdd chocolateBeat well to combine Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, nuts, vanilla and rum Spread evenly in greased baking pan Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out nearly clean, being careful not to overbakeAllow to cool before cutting into squaresRecipe may be doubled.
Before too much else, be sure you have SAMBA enabled on the Ubuntu box so that it can see the windows computersOnce you are sure of that then a couple more issues come to mindFirst question, how did you bridge the connection? if you are using ICS (internet connection sharing) on the laptop then the Ubuntu computer is in a different network than is your HOME PC! ICS assigns IP's for the connected machines, those IP's will NOT BE the same as your other network thus they will not communicateThe laptop becomes a router within the system! If you were to run a cable to the main router (wireless connection point) from the Ubuntu box it would work correctly or if you put a wifi adapter on the Ubuntu computer it would get an IP just like the other machinesHow you bridge the two connections will determine what IP's are issued to your Ubuntu boxThose IP's HAVE to match the rest of the network.
