My friends and I have done this experiment four times! It was really easy to do. You don't really have to shake it up when you put the mentos in it. An easy way we did this experiment was put a piece of paper on the top of the lid and then roll another piece of paper into a little tube. Next, you put the mentos into the tube and when you are ready pull the paper covering the top of the coke. All of the mentos should fall into the soda and create a geyser. I would suggest that you do this outside. But if you want to do it inside, do it in a bathtub so it won't create a big mess.
