I have a deep sink and a high faucet. When the water is turned on to wash hands water gets all over the counter no matter how careful I am. Is there an adaptor that I can add to the end of my faucet? Thanks
You can replace the faucet with one that works better with your sink and doesn't cause the splash.
You need an aereator. I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong, but it's the little chrome piece that screws onto the end of the faucet spout. It mixes air with the water, so that when the water it hits the sink basin it won't splash. They are sold at Home Depot or Lowes for less than $5 bucks. Look at the end of your faucet spout and note whether it has male or female threads, then you'll know which one to buy.
come back on here with the type of sink, on of those Britta drinking purifier things will make it so there is much less water coming out, or buy a new one
well, some of the advice so far is right on track. remove the aerator (nozzle where the water comes out) from the end of the faucet, and take it with you to the hardware or home center store, so it can be matched to one that will fit your faucet. while you're there, look into the style that looks like a mini shower head that swivels, they almost make having the spray hose unnecessary, and really dissipate the force of the water, which is what you are trying to do. good luck.
Size the end of the faucet and get a short piece of tubing at Home Depot . Slip it over the end and trim it to the appropriate length down inside the sink that works for you. Good Luck, Uncle Mike
