Question:

how do remove wax from my carpet?

i have candle wax in my carpet

Answer:

Scrape away as much wax as you can. Place a sheet of butcher paper, glossy side up, or a portion of a brown paper bag on top of the wax. Press the tip of a warm iron gently over the affected area until the wax melts and attaches to the paper. Lift the paper from the carpet. Dab a small amount of denatured alcohol onto the stain if any candle dye is left on the carpet. Sponge with water.
Cut a hole around the wax spot and pull up the carpet. Then your next question would be: how do I repoair this hole I cut in my carpet?
Put tissue paper/kitchen paper over the top and warm the paper with an iron. Don't have the iron on steam and don't have it too hot. Keep moving the paper around as it starts to soak up the wax as it begins to melt.
Take an old dish rag or t shirt that you don't want to use again with an Iron and lay the rag on top of wax and start with low heat on iron run it across till you see the wax go unto the rag......keep doing this until you get all the wax unto the rag...sometimes it might take more than one rag. WORKS EVERYTIME:-) I have a 5year old...i understand!! LOL
Place an old towel over it and then run an iron over the towel. It should lift it right out of the carpet. Good luck!
