Question:

How do they get the corn out of a silo?

I have driven by many huge corn silos in Illinois and I can figure out that the big pipe leading to the top is what they use to put the corn in however how do they get the corn back out after it is dried? Also Do they continuously cycle the corn or does it have to be completely emptied before the next load of corn can be put in?

Open a door in the base of the Silo, gravity will do it.
The corn is put in the top via a conveyer, and is drawn from the bottom. Gravity feeds it and it rotates the older corn out first.
