I just bought a car and took it home, I opened the hood. Since its a luxury car, it lifts automatically and sets itself in place. But how do I close it now? Its a Lexus rx. If that helps. Thanks for your help. (
Pull it down. It's not like the trunk lid, which pulls it into position.
Luxury car hoods are equipped with motors that keep the hood up rather than the usual prop that is on most cars, much like a hatchback or SUV trunk. To put it down simply push it all the way to the proper closed position, you will feel resistance, do not worry that's just the motors attempting to keep the hood open. Once it is locked in the closed position you will have nothing to worry about.
drop it from about a foot from its final resting position. if it is still up after that just use your hands to press it down te rest of the way.
