Question:

How do you find the additive inverse of an integer?

i need help on my math homework. I do not understand this question. Anyone know the answer???

Answer:

the additive inverse is the opposite of the number so if the number you have is 5 its additive inverse is -5
Just negate the number The additive inverse of 39 is -39 The additive inverse of -4 is +4
The additive inverse of an integer is an integer away from the absolute zero. E.g. the additive inverse of 1 is -1. The additive inverse of -1 is 1. I hope this helps!
