I have a Kenmore Elite side by side fridge. It is a year old and just went out of warranty a month ago. Tonight the ice dispenser quit working. It makes a noise like it is going to crush and/or dispense, then it sounds like the motor gives out. I know I can have a repairman come and fix it, but am curious if it is an easy and inexpensive problem to fix.
Epoxies could be of help. with a view to be of authentic help, i could decide for to verify what broke, then i could have the skill to propose the staggering way of the thank you to do the fix ( restoration or replace ).
Have you made sure the ice box isn't overloading and getting jammed?

Have you removed the ice bin and made sure there isn't a block of ice jammed in the mechanism? Sometimes, if you open the freezer door frequently, condensation will form on the cubes and fuse them together. You may have to clean out the old ice and start over.
