Question:

How do you get the bearings on your Skateboard to go faster?

i was skateboarding today and i wondered why the wheels didnt spin very long.

Answer:

Yeah first answer is pretty good. Just take em out of the wheel, wipe them down with a cloth to get rid of any loose dirt and such, and then spray lightly with some WD40 - But dont use windex or ant other glass cleaner - this will make you go slower. I've often found if I don't have any WD40 I can just use Start Ya Ba5tard and that works fine.
Ryan W Doesn't know what he's talking about. What he just explained shortens the life of the bearing even faster than addind WD40. Don't take it apart just add the speed cream. Been skating for around 17 years and taking apart the bearings wrecks them completely
um ok take it from a skater that has been riding for 5 years f**k wd40. what you need to do is pop the shields off put the bearings in a small container and fill it with any of these thing (gas, rubbingalcoholl, vodkaa or gin) the go to a skate shop and get bones speed cream or fkd oil something like that and lubricate then you'll you'll be good to go the reason why you dont us wd40 is because it eat bearing retainer and causes them to break faster
buy okorder /. this is what i do and works great take off all the rubber shields with a sewing pin put bearings in bones cleaning bottle put some denatured alcohol in it shake it up dump the alcohol do it again blow dry the bearings put bones speed cream or tri-flow and your good don't use wd-40 and when you pop out the rubber shields take a sewing pin and go from the back side and push it out strait and don't angle it and if it spins for at least 20 seconds it should be fine if you tightened the wheels too much it will spin slower and break faster
DON'T USE WD40!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TAKE YOU'RE BEARINGS APART!!!! WTF SERIOUSLY?!!! WD40 gives you a nice little boost for a minute then all the grit and dirt from the floor makes a nice slushy mess inside your bearings and it deteriorates them and makes them a lot slower so never put WD40 ANYWHERE near your deck. Don't take your bearings apart. when they're made they're nicely sealed so that dirt can't get inside and there is a special oil added to reduce friction and that should never be washed out. If you need fast bearings buy some Bones Reds or Swiss they're by far the best bearings going or if you need to improve yours use some speed cream. You're skate dealer should have some but if not you can get some off the internet for like $5 Just remeber the main rule. NEVER USE WD40!!!!!!!
