I know you are supposed to smelt the iron ore but I need iron bars to make a flint and steel. Without a flint and steel, i can‘t make a fire to smelt iron ore.
use coal or wood and iron ore on a furnace ( search how to make on minecraft ) to smelt the bars
you need a furnace and coal dumbass not flint and steel
