There is a special meter for automobiles, in addition to the measurement of the voltage, current and resistance of ordinary multimeter, there are special measuring gears for automobiles.
In the fault detection and diagnosis of the engine control system, in addition to often need to measure voltage, resistance and current parameters, there is a need to detect speed, dwell angle, bandwidth ratio (duty cycle), frequency, pressure, time, temperature, capacitance, inductance, semiconductor components etc..
