It might be worth peace of mind to pay them if you're worried. Are you planning to drive back? The multiple tickets for the same offense doesn't make sense, but that attitude is part of why I no longer live in New York. I've got two outstanding parking tickets on my current plates and registered to my current address (though on a different vehicle) and so far I haven't had my vehicle impounded when I park in NYC. It used to be they didn't impound you until you had 5 unpaid tickets, and most states do not have reciprocity that is, in Massachusetts you can't renew your registration if you have outstanding parking tickets from any city or town in Massachusetts, but they won't hold you up for NY tickets.

If your that desperate then use a hack saw at the bottom of the toilet if the fittings are plastic it will be easy if metal a sawzall is better if you can get one. Then you will need a new flex hose 7-10 bucks and new toilet flote filll valve 10-15 bucks. good luck
