I have a 1933 hoover 800. It needs the bearings greased really badly. And I have no idea how to do it.
then i suggest dont! you will never get it together again!
since it is antique i would suggest that you try to find a good service center to take it to to be fixed.
why not try to contact HOOVER for advice? there has to be an 1-800 number somewhere out there that you could call for help. check you yellow pages for ELECTRIC MOTORS-DEALERS REPAIR. good luck to ya.
You're saying you have a Hoover built in 1933? If so, you may as well try to sell it as an antique to some vac shop and try to find something that will actually work. The bearings in the motor on that machine are most likely not greaseable anyway. Most times vacuum bearings are sealed and are replaced not lubed. There will be no parts available for that machine.
