Question:

How do you UNSHRINK a blanket.?

I washed a new king size mohair blanket using wool wash on the gentle cycle and then air dryed it.and it is now half the sizeis there some technique to get it back to king size again or am I stuck with just a throw rug

Answer:

It's never going to go back to king sizeIf you wet it again and stretch it out while it's still damp it may unshrink a little, but once wool fibres have matted together you really can't spread them out again.
You can use a non-stick panJust don't add any oil or cooking spray.
Yes, butter can be used and I actually prefer the taste of butter over shorteningBut as was already pointed out, the flour is necessary because that is what actually keeps it from sticking to the panThe butter/shortening is used to keep the flour on the sides of the pan.
why?? butter and coat w/flour!!
