Fold roll the paper wrap LOTS of tape around it to make 2 strong support stuts in an A frame. Connect the 2 A frames together with 3 or more cross struts use the top one as ur swivel point for the throwing arm. Use the rubber bands wrapped around the swivel point to tension the throwing arm so when u pull it back release it it will swing forward again fling an object into the air. You can also mae a balista using the same materials.

When it gets cold out, I wear a fleece lined helmet liner. You can get other cold weather head/ear/face protective clothing, all available at your local bike shops.
