Question:

How does a lightning protection system work??

Could someone explain to me scientifically how a lightning protection system works? I know the lightning strikes the air terminal, but where do the electrons flow from there? Please help!

Answer:

You have a very good point; what is space? For example, René Descartes wrote many centuries ago that the shortest distance between two points was a straight line. But what is a straight line at the scale of the universe? And if the universe is curved, how can it be curved if you don't have a straight line to compare it to? Can we define the straight line as being the path of a photon? Perhaps not because light is affected by gravity. If the universe expands, does my measuring tape expands too? I know, gravity and the two nuclear forces makes it that I can't notice the universe expansion within our cluster of galaxies but doesn't our space expand too, even if it is a tiny little bit? but I digress and come with more question than an answer to you. Sorry, perhaps we'll have to live with the notion that we don't know everything yet.
It sounds like you need a mood board rather than a collage, I would collect items that are of the texture and colour that you want to use – for example, samples of the wood you want to use for the construction dyed or finished to the style you want, the materials that the furnishings and canopy are to be made from, textiles, rubber sheet, plastics etc all in colours you want. Surround that with images taken from magazines that might resemble the interior and the view. You could also work up a palette of colours either by cutting out patches of colour from magazines or by painting them yourself with gouaches.
