I have never heard of smoke alarms being triggered by anything that happens to another smoke alarm. I don't believe its possible. I think the chirping might last a long time, but it is harmless.

I think you should invest in a set of HOT STICKS. I personally have hair that is really hard to curl and these are the only things i can use. They are really easy to use all you have to do is wrap your hair around the rubber stick and it attaches to its self so you don't have to worry about clips. The instructions are really easy and basically explain everything. You can find them at Wal-mart for 14.95 and they are worth the price. How ever when you take them out they take a while to relax so if you want a looser curl don't leave them in too long. DO NOT USE GEL WHEN YOU USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!! The curls will fall out I learned the hard way. Good Luck
