Okay, so from many things on comments on youtube, I'm confused. Does REM kill Light? Does Near kill Light? How does Light Yagami die in Death Note??? I know he kills L (Which made me cry SO much), but how does Light die? Because from some people I've heard Near shoots Light, while others I hear Rem finds out Light is using Misa and Rem writes Light's name in the death note and Rem dies killing Light. What's the truth on Light Yagami's death?
i didn't see the anime but i did see the first two films, and ryuk kills light, and l kills himself by writing his own name and date of death in the death note. rem writes watari's name in the death note to prolong misa's life, then turns into sand. i don't know if the anime differs to the timeline in the films.
There's no way that Near kills Light because he's a child! Light did challenge Near, but took a piece of the notebook out of his watch. Near never wrote a thing. Light's own man shot Light in the arm before he could write. Light runs out for his escape as investigators follow him to make their arrest, but his own shinigami wrote Light's name in the Death Note... ... that's how he died lying on the staircase!
