Im 17 (18 in 3months) and want to know how to get started in the real estate industry?
how does one get started in real estate??????? i'll tell ya...it happens accidentally!!! its a big coincidence...lol...anyway well u can get started if u have enough money...n then u can take loans from banks n go through all that stuff... personally i think u r not of that much age to be in real estate business
Becoming a licensed sales agent doesn't help. Depending on your location, that may or may not be possible at your age. Usually it's a 40 or 75 hour pre-licensing course, followed by a state exam and fee. You need to be at least 18 in most states. Most larger brokerages have a difficult time finding and keeping agents, so they will take on as many as they can on the off-chance that the individual will bring in additional clients.
Have you checked out other options other than real estate as a career? If not perhaps you should, college might be an option at 17 or 18 years of age. What part of the real estate industry do you want to get into. You might go to a local real estate office and speak with the real estate broker of the office and possibly a few real estate sales associates that might be there. You might do the same at a mortgage loan office. Doing this should give you a prospective of what licensed real estate individuals do.
