I'm a freestyle inline skater, and I've been trying to look for high quality bearings. My current bearings fall under ABEC 5 and another set of SG 7, but I still find the performance sluggish even after cleaning. I've heard of ceramic bearings, and I was wondering if they're any good and if they can last against heavy impact (I tend to do a lot of high jumping). Or are there any other kinds of bearings which can deliver excellent speed and durability? Also, what are some recommended brands (I don't really mind the price)?Much thanks in advance!
Ceramic bearings will not hold up to jumps. They are primarily intended for downhill longboarding and street luge. They would work as a speed skate bearing as well. Go for a Swiss bearing like Pig Swiss or Black Panther Swiss. .
