Question:

How hard is it to replace a power cord to a Kenmore vacuum?

We have a mischievious dog in the house that keeps chewing and destroying things. The power cord he severed belonged to a Kenmore Progressive Direct Drive vacuum cleaner and it will take about $25 to replace, rather than buying a whole new vacuum cleaner. I was wondering if anyone thought it was a dumb idea to attempt to remove the back part and replace this cord or if it could be done at all? If you have any experience or knowledge in the structure of vacuum cleaners, your input would be greatly appreciated. :) The model number is 11635923500.

Answer:

Kenmore Progressive With Direct Drive
It is tricky even if you know how, it's a good idea to watch someone else do it the first time, or you can try to figure out how yourself, I would pay a vacuum shop to repair it if I weren't very much of a handyman, no need to buy a new vaccum. Good luck and tie up that bad dog.
