Question:

how is ceramic tile made?

how is ceramic tile made?

Answer:

White, gray or Red clay, rolled, pressed, cut to sizes, fired in kilns, textured or glazed, fired again, cooled, packaged, delivered, sold, installed. It's like a stonewear plate, but goes on a wall or floor. The problem with Ceramic, and the top finish is that a chip or crack will show the clay subsurface. IE: a beautiful floor might be unsightly if you can see that red clay under the chipped area of your gray tile. Rev. Steven
