Hi I've 3 or 4 fire extinguisher in the house,all are between 5 and 10 years old,are they likely to have any function at this stage?. Regardless I shall invest in a new appliance but just wondering whether I should retain the old?.Two are red and one is black.

We often do inspections of plumbing, gas entry lines, fire alarms, etc. If we see items for maintenance in the course of inspecting something else, we note it and request a repair date. We do not, however, open cupboards, appliances, furniture, etc. unless it is involved in the inspection for which we notified the tenant. We respect our tenant's privacy.
