there are two trash bins one green in which biodegradable waste shd be put and one blue one in which non biodegradable waste shd be putiam not sure bt i think steel and iron can be melted and beaten into different itemsaluminium paper.i dont agree in throwing aluminium papers.instead y dont u just make something creative out of it.like if ur a person who decorate christmas trees.u could just crush the aluminium paper and make it a ball and hang it on the christmas tree.u will get a beautiful silver ballplastic can be recycled.but only thermoplasts.u can surely make a compost pit in your apartment.just take a huge sack and fill a little with soil and mix it with the organic waste.and put some earthworms in it.and wait.until ur manure is ready.
Street recycling bins are a great idea, but something tells me that consumeristic America wouldn't use them because they don't wanna take the time to sort their crap outIn most states aluminum cans and plastic bottles are returnable, they take and recycle them at grocery storesI know of a place near me that buys copper waste (like excess wire and stuff like that) and recycles itYou can make compost at home, but if you have to keep it in your apartment you probably woudn't want toAt my school we did a project with making compost in garbage cansYou just chuck in all your half-eaten food and stir it up with a board or something once in a whileBut make sure you keep a tight lid on it because animals will try to get into it.
I live in a wooded area so my food garbage just gets launched off the back porchI guess you could take your food garbage to a wooded area or vacant lotMaybe there is a local garden club that needs the compost If you have enough metal you can look up metal recycling shops and they will pay you for it The more we recycle the demand for recycled products grows.
