I used the ceramic hair straightener tool to straighten my hair. I have quite thick hair and the after result of the straightening was great. But how long will it stay straight like this? Till I shampoo it next?(I hope) or just for a day?:-(
It depends on your type of hair, I guess. When I first used a ceramic straightener, my hair was straight for about a day and a half. My hair is usually slightly wavy (I have asian hair btw). I used the AMIKA brand. But time after time of using the straightener, my hair began to lose its straightness from the product during the day. This was probably because of the humidity in the air and I also didn't apply any other hair products except for a little heat protectant here and there. If you want yours to be straight longer, then I suggest you spray in hair spray before and after you straighten your hair. Another great way to straighten your hair, is to blow dry your hair after a wash. Use a blow dryer and a brush and from the top to the bottom of your hair, brush it down while having the blow dryer aligned down with the brush. This can have the same straightening affects as a straightener if done properly. There are youtube tutorials on this. There are of course other alternatives like getting a straight perm. but be warned that these are very expensive and can be very damaging to your hair especially if it's really thin.
It would stay until you take a shower or wet your hair. hope this helped :)
Usually it will last until you wet your hair, at least with my Karmin G3 styling iron which is ceramic tourmaline, it lasts that long.
