Answer:

I'm not sure how far away they are, but she should be be fine. Give her a break every hour or two and let her stretch her legs. Bring lots of carrots and keep a hay net in front of her to keep her interested.
I would say that's fine. As long as you have shipping boots, standing wraps, or polo wraps and bell boots to protect her legs. GOOD LUCK!
I'm not promoting E-Bay, however, I found some useful IR devices (Infra Red). My son had a break-in while he was sleeping. He wasn't harmed, however the experience left him a bit unnerved. So I sent him a battery powered, remote operated IR alarm, one you hang on the wall. When it detects an intruder it emits an ear piercing siren. I'd recommend something like that to protect you in doors. As for outside, I am not aware of any hardware stores that DON'T sell porch lights that light up when motion is detected. As to giving victims sleeping gas - - - I'm dubious about that part of it, seems like a whole lot of trouble and expense to go through just to break in and steal. You can also get timers that automatically control your interior lights. I have mine on timers all the time. When I'm home the lights come on and go off automatically. When I'm not home, there is no change in the pattern, so anyone watching the house will not be able to determine when I'm home and when I'm not. Also, a big dog makes a strong deterrent to would be invaders. Good luck. :)
