I have a Primary and a Secondary heat exchangers for a fa-18. Im looking to sell them. They are in good condition (minus the dust). They have both been pressure tested. One is repaired the other was removed just for testing. Both are in approved working condition. Need help!!
in no way had a secondary warmth exchanger clog up, distinctly in case you have been basically having a habitual inspection accomplished, and if it replaced into blocked, there could have been different problems and the furnace could have failed or went out on a shrink or something. i'm suspicious that if it replaced into working effective devoid of problems while he arrived...the provider tech could desire to be the priority. no longer continuously, yet..suspicious concern that replaced into inflicting no problems once you called, and in all hazard doesnt exist + salesman + intense expenditures (even in canadian $) = you getting taken for a holiday. Alot of circumstances some organizations will supply a unfastened 2d opinion, possibly supply that a shot. stable good fortune.
If you really have those parts in your possession, you have them illegally. All parts for government owned aircraft also belong to the government. As other respondents stated, nobody but the US Navy would even need those parts, and they are not gonna buy them twice. You should be arrested and charged with theft of government property. Your only hope of any money from those parts would be to cut them up for scrap and take the metal to a salvage yard.
I guess things have changed a lot since I left the Navy, because we had to return all unused and/or defective Aircraft parts.
My best guess would be OKorder. I remember an f-18 for sale on there years ago. Someone bought it for 9 or 10 mil. (Lucky bast*rd) These would be rather hard to get rid of however as im sure that there aren't a lot operating in the private sector. Possibly trying to find a aircraft parts dealer? Tough question.
Provided you got them at a DRMO sale or something like that, they may be valid parts. Finding someone who has an F-18 besides the Navy will prove to be difficult. Many parts that use bleed air cannot be repaired, and we have quite a few on the C130. You won't be able to sell them to the Navy
