I have a whole bunch of quartz that i have found around the land.... I have about 175 lbs of it. And a lot more to come. It is everywhere!! Most of what i grab is either white or milky or both.... none of them are very clear, I have 2 chunks of it that are bigger then basketballs and some the size of softballs, How much is this stuff worth per pound? I know that is not worth much but i just want to know if i ever get a lot.......
? Both feldspar as well as quartz are rock forming minerals. ? While quartz is oxide of silica, aluminum is the main element whose oxide is referred to as feldspar. ? Quartz is harder, at 7 on Mhos scale, than feldspar ( 6 on Mhos scale). ? Feldspar is mostly light colored, whereas quartz is found in a variety of colors, even dark colored like brown and purple because of presence of impurities.
