Question:

How much time will it take to make an engine swap and what do I need?

I have a VW polo 6n with an 8v 1.3 litre engine, and I want I want to swap it for a 1.4 litre DOHCI already have a good deal on a 1.4 polo from a scrapyard, what do I need besides engine, gearbox and ecu? And can I also take the 1.4 polo's ecu, or do I need a new one for mine? Oh and I'm working on it on weekends because I have to go to school, so how many months do you reckon I'll need?

Answer:

My guess is because the wool absorbs the water and not the dirt because its too bigAgain not really sure
I don't know, but wool rugs are supposed to be great because they are naturally dirt and stain resistant I have one that gets LOTS of dirt tracked over it and it's still in okay condition It's hairIt's hard to stain hair, it's not really very absorbent.
You do not say what facilities you haveYou will need an engine craneA lift nay be needed as well if not several high axle stands and a couple of high lifting trolley jacksDo you have a compressor and air wrenches? All the tools save timeWhen you are done the car is worth less as it is modified and you have to tell your insuranceMany companies will not cover modified carsIt is easier and cheaper to sell your car and buy a 1.4.
It's likely to have something to do with fiber density and how wool fibers bind together as opposed to cotton or synthetic yarns.
