Question:

How much would an exhaust system cost me? "Estimate"?

I own a 05' Chevy Monte Carlo 3.8 3800 and I have the 2 dual pipes all factory with the mufflers, but I wanted to put the (Magnaflow exhaust)set up on it.Do i need to change everything or can I just change the mufflers and put the chrome stainless steel tips on there? or do I have to change the whole entire set up?What's an estimate of the cost?

Answer:

First off it will not sound like a tuner. If you get a Magnaflow with the resonator removed, it will sound great. You have just one muffler turned sideways with a exhaust tip on both sides. Magnaflow makes a transverse muffler made for a Camaro that will work for you. I had this put on My 04 Grand am Gt and it sounds great. Make sure you go with the stainless steel. It will last much longer. The muffler and labor is not bad, but the tips are expensive. I would go with something different looking than you have now. It will stand out more from other Monte Carlos. I paid $300 for Muffler, tips and resonator removal. The tips I picked were $35 each, but well worth the price for something that can make your car look different then the usual tips.
Temps should be somewhere between 78 and 85 degrees fahrenheit.
you really cannot make an incubator. if you really want to risk it, you could make a box of some sort with a heat lamp over it. this probly wont make the eggs hatch though.
To make it sound good you will need a kit. which is around 3-500 dollars maybe even higher. But if you put a muffler on then you will have to go behind the car to hear the noise and in the front you will hear the engine like you did befor the muffler. If you want to hear sound all around and inside the car get a full exhaust kit. It is expensive but it will get alot more horse power in the long run, save you gas money, and sound sick. It is a 3.8L so its not gonna have a v8 sound. It will most likely sound like a tuner but its fine.
