Question:

how much would cloth shrink if.?

ok if i buy this hoodie thats say.100% cotton, how much would it shrink when i put it in the dryer? what about 80% Cotton and 20% Polyester.etc? like, would it shrink a few inches or what?

Answer:

If you dry it on gentle or extra care, it has lower heat and won't shrink it. Something 100% cotton will shrink, but not that much. Maybe 1 inch overall. When you start getting into mixed fabrics, they really don't shrink. Just follow the care instructions on the tag and you shouldn't have an issue.
anything that is more then 50% cotton I always by one size larger then I want. It seems to work out fine. Also you might try the air only cycle on the dryer or even hang it to dry and not put it in the dryer at all.
If the tag on it says sanforized then it will shrink less than 1%
